Patchwork Farm
“My studio has a fine view of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier and the Columbia River Gorge. This surrounding beauty inspires me to create pottery for you.” -Ramona
Patchwork Farm Pottery was started in 1991 by Ramona Searle. She had created so many pieces while learning from PK Hoffman’s ceramic classes in The Dalles that she was hooked! Mary Orcutt joined the studio shortly thereafter, and the product line started to include slab roller work as well as the thrown functional pottery Ramona was creating.
Sales opportunities for the work created in the early ’90s was limited to festivals and the Oregon Potters Association Showcase. In 1996 on a trip to the Oregon Coast, Ramona discovered that Tom and Joanne Davis were open to seeing the PFP line of work. They accepted her unique designs and invited her to join the many other potters there. It has been a privilege to work with the many dedicated owners and talented potters represented by Mossy Creek Pottery for so many years.
